Marketplace

The new marketplace is aimed at several important needs that go beyond its original purpose to serve our local farmer’s.  New objectives include the need:

  • To expand the variety and amount of local products that our farms and plantations can bring to us;
  • To develop a regulated place for our local fishermen to easily reach the public with their fresh catch of fish and marine products;
  • To have our people shop for inexpensive, healthy and locally-grown farm and marine foods in an attractive public place;
  • To provide a large covered centrally located area next to our central bus terminal for people to meet, shop and come together for special public events;
  • To create a place where tourists can come to meet our local farmers, fishermen and artists to see the products of our land, sea and people.
